Gillam Drive

Your test kicks off here on Gillam Drive, a short industrial street where you could well see trucks and delivery vans coming in and out of businesses. Keep an eye out for any vehicles pulling into driveways and be mindful of parked cars that could reduce your visibility. Up ahead, you’ll reach a roundabout where you'll need to take the second exit onto Bruns Street, so ease off the gas and be ready to give way to the right.

Railway Avenue

You’ll now be driving alongside the train line, so don’t be surprised if you spot a level crossing and always check for flashing lights. This road can get quite busy, especially during peak times, so keep your safe following distance and look for cars merging from side streets. Up ahead, there’s a roundabout where you’ll take the first exit onto Champion Drive.

Lake Road

Lake Road Driving along Lake Road means having to deal with a few roundabouts, so it’s a perfect place to practise your skills. This road will have a steady flow of traffic, so keep a consistent speed and stay in your lane. The speed limit will change in certain spots, so keep checking the signs and adjust your speed accordingly. Soon, you’ll hit another roundabout where you’ll need to take the third exit onto Ypres Road.

Cammillo Road

Near the end of your test, you’ll find yourself back on Cammillo Road, where you’ll go through yet another roundabout before heading towards Third Avenue. This stretch takes you through residential streets, so watch for parked cars, cyclists, and pedestrians. If it’s school pick-up time, expect some extra activity around the crossings and be prepared to stop. You’ll then need to turn left onto Bruns Street, leading you back towards the test centre.
