The South Australia Test Routes
There's no doubting preparing for your driving test can be nerve-wracking. Being well-prepared makes all the difference, so familiarising yourself with the test routes ahead of test-day can give you a significant advantage.
By practising on the actual roads and navigating the intersections you’ll face during your test, you’ll feel more confident, comfortable, and ready for success.
Are these genuine routes?
Yes, in fact they are the most accurate routes available on the market as they are compiled from:
- Instructor feedback: Direct contact with driving instructors to discuss routes and any alterations.
- GPS recording: Actual recorded GPS data taken during live driving tests throughout South Australia.
- Video review: Studying video footage of actual driving tests, noting directions.
Live updates
To keep the routes accurate, any alterations, diversions or route updates are automatically sent to the app so you are always driving the most up-to-date version.

Service SA Overview
Service SA centres are the primary resource hubs for driver licensing and vehicle services in South Australia. These centres were created to provide streamlined access to key services for all South Australians, with a special focus on driving-related tasks.
Previously, handling multiple services, like applying for a driver’s license or registering a vehicle, required separate visits and complex processes. Service SA brought these essential services under one roof.
Development and Reach
- Geographic Expansion: Since its inception, Service SA has made concerted efforts to increase its presence as can be seen on our map, establishing service centres in key locations across the state to serve both densely populated and remote areas.
- Adoption of Digital Services: Residents now have the option to book appointments online, complete initial licensing steps digitally, and even access resources to prepare for driving tests.
