Parry Street

Where your test begins and ends, so becoming familiar with this stretch will help build your confidence from the beginning. There is a roundabout early on, so be prepared to give way to the right and enter smoothly without hesitation. After this, you'll be turning right onto National Park Street which is a busy intersection, so check for oncoming traffic and pedestrians before turning.

King Street

A major road in Newcastle with a some fast-moving traffic to consider. Since it continues onto Parry Street (A15), you won’t be turning immediately, but you should concentrate on the speed limit and flow of traffic. Prepare yourself to turn left onto Tudor Street, ensuring you’re in the correct lane ahead of time.

Lambton Road

This is a long and well-trafficked stretch that tests your ability to maintain a consistent speed, along with correct lane positioning. You'll need to watch for any merging vehicles on your approach to Bridges Road. The turn onto the B63 is a left, so check for oncoming traffic and pedestrians before proceeding.

Darby Street

A more lively road with pedestrian activity, cafés, and businesses to consider. Your challenge here will be scanning for maintaining a steady pace whilst keeping aware of the various distractions. You'll pass through a roundabout before making your final left turn onto Parry Street, bringing you back to the Service Centre.
