Pennant Hills Road (A28)

As one of the busiest sections of the route, your ability to handle higher-speed traffic and manage lane discipline will be tested here. As you continue, always maintain a safe distance from the car in front and be aware of any merging traffic. You'll eventually need to take a right onto the Pacific Highway, so signal early and be prepared for the lane change.

Pacific Highway (A1)

With moderate to heavy traffic, the Pacific Highway is another important road on this route. It presents a great opportunity to show the examiner confident lane changes as well as keeping to the speed limit. Be ready for the left turn onto Cherry Street which shouldn't present any real challenges, though always be aware of other road users.

Eastern Road

Taking the 1st exit on the roundabout is the perfect time to to demonstrate how you give way to the right and select the correct lane. The road itself has relatively light traffic and offers both a mix of residential and local traffic conditions. You should focus on maintaining a steady speed whilst keeping an eye out for pedestrians and other hazards.

Edgeworth David Avenue

This stretch will require you to handle light traffic and roundabouts, and gives you the chance to practise good lane discipline through intersections. You'll eventually need to turn right onto Sherbrook Road, so position yourself accordingly, be sure to signal early and execute the turn smoothly.
